Planting plan
We have developed a planting plan to guide our efforts. We have started with a strip of land owned by the Department of Conservation adjacent to Eskdale Park. In the winter of 2020, we began with planting an ambitious 1 ha area with a plan to plant the full 4 ha over the coming years. The planting plan was developed by an ecologist in our group. The plants we have chosen come from research that tells us what used to exist on this land and all throughout the catchment.
